Graduate Courses

To enhance the Chinese and English writing abilities of NTU graduate students, AWEC offers Chinese writing courses, such as Academic Chinese Writing, Writing as Creative Communication, and Academic Chinese Writing for International Students, and English Writing courses, such as Fundamentals of English Writing, Business and Technical English Writing Applications, English Writing for Academic Purposes, Academic Writing and Presentation in Engineering Studies, English Writing in the Social Sciences and Humanities, English Presentations for Academic Purposes, Professional English Writing for Academic Purposes, Critical Thinking into Critical Writing, Critical Reading and Writing for Multidisciplinary Communications, and Professionalism in Action. All classes are of smaller size to ensure that students receive individualized feedback. All courses aim to gradually cultivate students’ core competence in their academic pursuits through developing their critical thinking and communication skills and enhancing their academic writing and oral presentation abilities.
